Nest and Creature Classes!!!

To clarify, each class is only one time frame. For example, the whole nest class is taught from 2-4. There are three times offered, it is not a three session class.

May Brain Freeze!

Hopefully this friend will help thaw out my captive brain meats. It's been a while since I last posted. It's been a flurry of small radish hats, nests and class set up. Please stay tuned for an announcement for classes in Olympia. Super fun and super exciting!

Thanks for the Great Arts Walk

The Sweaterbear and I would like to thank all of those who came out to Olympia's Spring Arts Walk this past weekend. It was lovely to see all of the smiling faces and hear words of encouragement. I had a wonderful time and hope you did too. It was a beautiful weekend and a good show.

Spring Nests

These nests are made out of recycled scraps of cloth and clothes. There are bits of lace and ribbon, plastic bags, bells, beads and stones in them. The little birds are made and stuffed with scrap fabric. I like to call them wish nests. I have one where I put old fortune cookies and little pieces of paper with my hopes and dreams so they can incubate and come true.

Katsters

These are the Kasters. Half cat half monster. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. Personified.

Sock Monkeys in Boise

Long ago I used to make monkeys. I stopped and then they got very popular, go figure. I have been reluctant to  make too many more but every so often I have an urge. Then they need clothes and hats. These three were snapped up and live in Boise, ID. They were so fun to make that I might have to make a whole host more.
