Pupple One

This is Pupple One, my first Art Doll. He is hand stiched and made with all recycled clothing. Pupple is hard packed with fabric scraps. He's a little pup but was really fun to make. His arms and legs move too. He will be at Splash Gallery in Olympia for the Affordable Art Show for the holidays.

Bats in my Hair

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. This year the bats stayed and put up shop. Not in my hair. But in the trees and in the shop. Much more huggy than other bats and of a very sweet disposition.

Bird Woman Decanter

She sits in my living room, behind glass. Watching over me and my door. Out in the sun briefly but now back in the warm away from the wind.

Before Hibernation

The nights are getting longer and the clocks will be rolling back soon. Frost is dancing on the fallen leaves. The sweaterbear is looking forward to a long nap. Not in a cave or hollow, but a soft bed or couch to be a source of comfort for the winter ahead.

The Magic Peach Pit

This large pit comes from a special variety of peach from England. Thought to be a one off, several Peaches of Extraordinary Sizes have been found all over the world. This particular pit half is on display at Splash Gallery in Olympia, WA.

Pinguinos

As the leaves start to turn and the cold winds blow, the great Northwest Pinguinos make their march to the Puget Sound. Gathering baskets of fish and clams from adoring fans, the NW Pingino actually lives on Tugboats and sells local clams at the farmer's market to buy fish.

Maleka Monster

I am very proud of this monster. This is a commission for a lovely girl named Maleka for her 9th birthday. Monster here is her favorite colors and textures. It took some trail and error but I'm very happy with this "New Guy".

My Friends the Ceramic Monsters

OH what fun you were to make, dear little monsters. To sculpt your porcelain, paint your fins and teeth. Spray you with shiny goop. Little friends, I wish you the best in your new lives in the great big world. I miss you, but think fondly of our time together.

End of Summer Owls

The leaves are starting to fall. We in the Pacific North West did not have much of a summer but now the owls are here and we can all have a tea party.
